INL Coordinator Now Accepting Applications The U.S. Department of State is currently accepting applications for an INL Coordinator, located in Kingston, Jamaica. The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) is under the Under Secretary for Democracy and Human Rights and works to keep Americans safe at home by countering international crime, illegal drugs, and instability abroad. INL helps countries deliver justice and fairness by strengthening their police, courts, and corrections systems. The purpose of this Personal Services Contract is to fill the position of INL Coordinator at Embassy Kingston, Jamaica. The Personal Services Contractor will work with Jamaican and U.S. interagency partners to develop sustainable foreign assistance programs to combat rising crime and insecurity created by transnational criminal organizations carrying out criminal activities, including drug trafficking, weapons trafficking, and other illicit activities in Jamaican territory. The PSC will provide specialized expertise to advise and assist in the planning, development, coordination, and implementation of government initiatives to counter transnational organized crime (CTOC), including narcotics trafficking. The INL Coordinator develops, reviews, implements, and/or contributes to a wide variety of plans, policies, and procedures for advancing USG and Government of Jamaica (GOJ) CTOC priorities. This PSC will assist INL in ensuring its CTOC programs have a sustainable impact. This will include a priority focus on criminal gangs to assist the Government of Jamaica to reverse worsening TOC-related crime and violence as well as to strengthen Jamaica’s capacity to detect, seize, prosecute, and convict criminal and drug-trafficking organizations. This is a non-status, non-permanent Personal Service Contract position. You do not acquire a competitive or excepted service status from this position.
