The Bahamas’ Airport Infrastructure Project Business Opportunities in The Bahamas March 31, 2023 - 10:00AM ET The U.S. Commercial Service, in partnership with U.S. Embassy Nassau, will host “The Bahamas’ Airport Infrastructure Project Webinar”. This 90-minute webinar will include an overview of the investment climate in The Bahamas, recent trends in the tourism and aviation sectors, the DBFOM needs of fourteen (14) airports, the multistage RFpQ process, details of a potential public-private partnership (PPP), and the Bahamian government’s medium- and longer-term goals with this project. The webinar will feature speakers from The Bahamas’ Ministry of Tourism, Investments and Aviation and U.S Embassy Nassau and include a Q&A session. The Government of The Bahamas is looking for experienced and qualified U.S. companies under a PPP model to design, build, finance, operate and/or maintain several airports. U.S. Companies operating in several sectors including Aviation, Travel/Tourism Services, Architect/Construction/Engineer Services, Wholesale/Retail (Airports) Goods, Finance, and others are invited and encouraged to participate. Interested U.S. companies should note the PPP process commenced on March 1, 2023 with the issuing of the RFpQ and Project Information Memorandum (PIM) via the Department of Aviation’s website. The final date for submission of questions is April 1, 2023. The Request for Pre-Qualifications (RFpQ) stage closes on April 16, 2023. Short-listed parties will be invited to participate in the Request for Proposal (RFP) stage tentatively scheduled to be released in May 2023.
