Job Opportunity at World Trade Center Delaware Job Description This is an Independent Contractor Part-time Position for 20 hours per week. We are looking for an Independent Contractor to fulfill the position of Part-time Administrative Assistant (20 hours per week) to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties of the Administrative Assistant include providing support to our management, employees, interns and Board. You will assist in providing office needs and managing our company's general administrative activities. World Trade Center Delaware is the state's premier international business resource. Part of the network of World Trade Centers across the globe, we serve a wide variety of companies, government agencies, educational institutions, and professional organizations in Delaware. We also work with US government agencies, foreign Embassies and international organizations across the world. Administrative Assistant Responsibilities Administrative Assistant responsibilities include: - Maintaining/editing data bases used in preparing reports - Maintaining appropriate filing systems - Preparing electronic bulk mailings - Assisting with administration of events (plus developing/designing event flyers) The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills, be detail oriented, and be able to work independently using tools such as MS Excel, Google Docs, and office equipment. Familiarity with Constant Contact (Email Marketing Software) is a plus. If you also have previous experience as a Secretary or Administrative Assistant, we'd like to meet you. Requirements - Proven experience as an administrative assistant, virtual assistant or office admin assistant - Knowledge of office management systems and procedures - Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines - Proficiency in MS Office suite of tools (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular) - Proficiency in Adobe - Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work - Attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task - High School degree; additional qualification as an Administrative Assistant or Secretary will be a plus Location The location of the position is downtown Wilmington, readily accessible by public transportation.
