Our grower in Kyrgyzstan🇰🇬 has recently finished a short harvest of Walker Deluxe F1 asparagus for this spring. As the harvest slowed down, our grower began using rubber bands to identify the mother stems that will be left to grow into ferns. The unmarked spears will be harvested during the summer harvest. This Monday, our international representative, Wenjing Chen, along with Stefano Motton from Blumen Vegetable Seeds, our exclusive European distributor, toured our existing and new trials in Puglia, Italy🇮🇹. They featured the Grande F1 and new hybrids from the Walker Breeding Program. After years of evaluation, we have chosen a few promising hybrids, which we recently planted in a new trial.
