For immediate release World Trade Center Delaware hosts experts in getting the most out of trade missions Whether your company is currently planning a trade mission – or if you’ve ever considered going overseas to meet with potential clients and customers – the World Trade Center Delaware’s upcoming seminar “How to Plan Effective Trade Missions” will offer useful tips and ideas for how your company can get the highest return on this important investment of time and money. Kira-Destiny Prince and Andrew Wood –trade professionals with significant experience in international promotion and marketing – will speak about how to use trade missions to open doors, find on-the-ground support, develop contacts … and follow up on all of it after you return home. This seminar is designed specifically with small and medium businesses in mind. “How to Plan Effective Trade Missions” will take place from 8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. on Thursday March 3 at Delaware Biotechnology Institute, 15 Innovation Way, Room 102, Newark, DE. Registration is $25 for members of the World Trade Center Delaware, the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce, and the German American Chambers of Commerce, and $50 for non-members. The World Trade Center Delaware is a private-sector, nonprofit organization helping Delaware companies to succeed in the international marketplace. With a primary focus on export promotion, the WTC Delaware develops programs to assist businesses and organizations including educational and networking events, market research, and consulting. ### SPEAKER BIO Kira-Destiny Prince completed pre-law education at Oxford, followed by a higher degree specialty in international trade and business practices at University of Kent, Canterbury, England. After practicing with a London law firm for a few years, Prince worked with the Cambridgeshire economic development agency and the office of fair trade and industry on policy enforcement. In 2005, she founded Prince Advisory Services Sa`rl (PASS), providing business development, strategic leadership and organizational training programs to executives importing corporate headquarter operations to Switzerland. She speaks four languages, communicating frequently in English and French, plus a working knowledge of two Nigerian languages, Yoruba and Ibo. Andrew Wood graduated from the Frenchay School of Nursing in Bristol, England and pursued a career working in anesthetic departments, focusing on neurosurgery, plastic and burns. After working in hospitals in the UK and the Netherlands, Andrew turned his attention to medical product development, sales and marketing, creating and managing a highly successful UK national sales team. For the last 20 years, he has worked in the United States, heading up sales and marketing teams for a number of manufacturers of high-end capital equipment. Through direct selling and working with distributor partners, Andrew has sold into 38 countries.
