Message From the President

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the World Trade Center Delaware.

For 30 years, the World Trade Center Delaware has been Delaware’s leading partner in international trade, working with local companies to research markets, develop leads, navigate currency exchanges and create global economy jobs throughout the state.

We work across many industries, especially with small, medium, and emerging businesses, in sectors as varied as agriculture, accounting, environmental remediation, IT, medical equipment manufacturing, biopharmaceutical research and development, real estate development, and legal services.

As one of 320 World Trade Centers in 90 countries around the globe, the World Trade Center Delaware can connect you to a world of opportunity:

As the U.S. Trade and Development Agency’s Making Global Local (MGL) partner for Delaware, we connect companies of all sizes with the resources of the USTDA in order to meet the needs of overseas buyers.

As an Associate Office of the U.S. Department of Commerce, we provide training, information, and networking opportunities that allow you to build closer relationships with foreign customers.

As a partner with international trade and cultural organizations such as the Africa Business Portal, we offer exclusive training programs and matchmaking opportunities that will be found nowhere else in Delaware.

In addition, we offer several in-house programs unique to the World Trade Center Delaware:

  • The WTC Delaware Procurement Partners Program trains companies to seek out and respond to tenders, requests for proposals and bidding opportunities from both international and domestic agencies.
  • The WTC Delaware On the Road Program takes Delaware companies to Washington, New York or abroad to explore markets or meet with potential buyers.
  • The WTC Delaware At Your Doorstep Program brings delegations from other countries to Delaware to meet with sellers of products and services.

The World Trade Center Delaware also serves our academic community as a training partner and resource for students and faculty.  Our internship program provides opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to learn about international business while researching international markets, creating member communications and developing websites. Graduates have gone into established international companies or started their own international businesses.

Delaware is the “Corporate Capital of the World.” We sit at the crossroads of the global economy, and World Trade Center Delaware is here to help your business thrive. Let’s work together.
